Ferran Torres rejoins the Valencia CF setup this week in great form. The VCF Academy product made his debut for the Spain Under-21s team during the international break, playing both games that formed part of the Euro 2021 qualifying campaign.
In his first appearance, in Astana against Kazakhstan, he won a penalty, whilst on Tuesday night in Castalia he was given a starting role against Montenegro.
"The most important thing was to get the three points in these matches," he told VCF Media. "We have the maximum points from this international break. It was very exciting and in the second game I was close to home, with a lot of family and friends in the stands. You can't ask for more."
The big takeaway for Torres in this past fortnight has been "The experience of being surrounded by very good players."
"The move up to the Under-21s is more difficult, but I'm determined to keep working in order to be called up as many times as possible," said the Under-17s and Under-19s European Champion.
"It's time for everybody to give the best they can, in order to achieve the best results possible"
Asked about how his international experience will reinforce his club form, and vice-versa, Torres said "When you do things well for Valencia CF and work at 100%, you get your reward from the Under-21s. I'm ready to get back training, my mind is focused on Valencia CF and I'm ready and confident ahead of two important games, against demanding rivals such as Barça and Chelsea."
"It's time for everybody to give the best they can, in order to achieve the best results possible," he stated, ahead of a run of 7 games in 22 days for Valencia CF.
